Derwent House is a non smoking Family run Hotel, open all year round it is situated on the sea front with panoramic views over North Bay. It’s just a five minute walk to Scarborough’s historical castle, a ten minute walk to the town centre and only a five minute walk to the nearest restaurant’s, including international cuisine. The Hotel is fully licensed with a cosy lounge and dining room / bar. Your stay includes a full English breakfast. Fruit juice and a choice of cereals followed by, egg, bacon, sausage, hash browns, tomatoes or baked beans. Toast and a selection of jams, as well as tea or coffee. A full Veggie breakfast is available upon request.

All bedrooms are either singles, doubles or family rooms, some with ensuite and some with sea views. Each room has a colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities and razor points.

We have a well stocked bar serving draught beer and lager, and free wi-fi is available throughout the hotel.

Central heating is installed throughout the Hotel for year round comfort.

Located only forty miles from the historic city of York with its many excellent shops and intriguing history. Then on to the fishing town of Whitby only 20 miles north, situated in the North York Moors National Park, and is linked with the likes of Dracula and the popular TV show Heartbeat.
